Beautiful place. I run here frequently. Lots of folks use it as a setting for photos, bird watching, and hiking.

Been coming here since long before this was a NWR, still one of my favorite places.
Great place to walk and enjoy the various flora and fauna of the area. You can watch the white-tailed deer munch on apples and berries, or have some fresh fruit for yourself. Located betwixt the Ohio River and the mouth of Middle Island Creek, the island is a unique and beautiful location well worth checking out.
Nice easy place for a hike , with good river views.
